Our candidate for Williamstown is Michele Finey, 43, who lives
in Yarraville:
Michele is a dedicated campaigner on local issues, in particular
she has spent much of the past six years lobbying the state government
to address the issue of heavy truck traffic usage of residential
streets in the inner west of Melbourne.
Michele is passionate about the environment and has been involved
in many local issues.
Michele’s grandfather was the political cartoonist and caricaturist,
George Finey who did the first anti-pollution cartoon in Australia.
Michele works part time, studies part time and spends several days
each week volunteering her time to the community and environment.
