A billion dollar boost for schools
"Victoria is currently the nation's lowest spending state on education per student," said Greg Barber, the Greens Education spokesperson and candidate for the Northern Metropolitan Upper House Region at the release of the Greens Education policy.

"Unfortunately, many of our education outcomes reflect that. To get Victoria up to average Australian spending on education, an immediate increase of over $1 billion to the Department of Education and Training's budget is required. This is something that can be achieved in the next parliamentary term - across the next four and a half years - and that's our policy."
