Action on water must start now say the Greens
The Victorian Greens Water spokesperson Louis Delacretaz, was feeling pleased, despite standing in the rain, when he launched the Greens Water policy on Wednesday (September 6, 2006).

"Managing water is the twenty first century’s most important resource issue," said Louis Delacretaz. "We are using too much and re-using too little."
"Our rivers and creeks suffer from salinity, sedimentation, pollution and loss of native vegetation - often caused by logging," said Louis Delacretaz. "We take too much and waste too much."
With the volume of available water likely to drop some 10 to 15 per cent over the next 20 years, the Greens Water policy tackles domestic and commercial water use, water savings measures and the protection of our priceless water sources.
