Protecting Victorian employees and creating fair workplaces

"Proper processes for enterprise bargaining, conciliation and arbitration are the basis for a fair and effective industrial relations system," said Sue Pennicuik, the Greens Industrial Relations and Employment spokesperson, when releasing the Greens Industrial Relations Policy.

Industrial Relations Policy Launch

"Many Victorian employees are working excessive hours without extra pay, while others remain unemployed or stuck in part-time or casual low-paid and insecure work. This will worsen unless we act to counter the Federal Government's unfair workplace laws." The Greens will return Victoria's industrial relations powers to the state (transferred to Canberra by the Kennett government) and establish a State Industrial Relations Commission.
