The 2006 Victorian State Election: Greens Get Active (2)

The state election is now less than a hundred days away and the Victorian Greens have been busy selecting candidates.

Changes to the Upper House will result in five parliamentarians being elected in each region using the proportional representation method of voting. This creates an opportunity for the Greens to gain seats in the Victorian parliament for the first time - and break the stranglehold the old parties have on Victorian politics.

Many Green candidates for Upper House Regions and Lower House Districts have been selected already. Find out who you can vote for on the Upper House Candidate and Lower House Candidate pages.
