The Greens tackle shadowy political donors

Voters need timely information about lobby groups that disguise their political campaigning and support for big politics.

Greg Barber, the Greens Governance and Accountability
spokesperson

That was the message from Greg Barber, the Greens Governance and Accountability spokesperson, when he went to Spring Street on Wednesday (September 20) to release the Greens Disclosure and Donations statement.

The Greens want donation returns by political parties to be released weekly in the run-up to elections, the registration of big spenders on election campaigns, public disclosure of their spending and the return of the $1,500 disclosure limit for parties registered for Victorian elections. The state election will be held on Saturday November 25.

Find out more in the disclosure media statement.
