The Greens Victorian Agriculture Policy

The Greens vision is for a strong and healthy agricultural community across Victoria.

Agriculture policy launch

"The whole community stands to benefit from a thriving rural economy," said Jennifer Alden, Greens Agriculture spokesperson and Northern Victoria Upper House candidate, when releasing the Agriculture policy. "However, climate change, lower rainfall, rising fuel costs and increased competition from imported produce are all adding to the difficulties that rural communities face." The Greens support a focus on sustainable agriculture that integrates with - and preserves - biodiversity and natural habitat on and around farmland.
