Donations to local government campaigns
Local government candidates must submit a list of all campaign donations to the CEO of their Council/Shire within 60 days of the election. The list will include all campaign contributions (money, goods or services) valued at $200 or more, the date these were received and each donor's full name and address.
The list may be viewed at the Council/Shire on written request.
List of donors to the Victorian Greens
In line with the Victorian Greens' internal policy on donations,
this donor list includes those who have made a cumulative total of
donations of $1500 or more during the twelve months to the end of
last quarter.
This list lets the general public know our main sources of funds, and thus helps ensure we are transparent and accountable.
Please note that sometimes people make multiple donations to various parts of our organisation (e.g. to head office as well as local branch or campaign fundraisers) so it is only when we tally these up at the end of the financial year that we know whether a series of small donations from a single donor amounts to $1500 or more in a single financial year. We will then report the total amount here.
*Please note - this public disclosure on the Victorian Greens website begins 1 July 2007, and is not a part of official statuatory disclosure requirements. These can be found at the Australian Electoral Commission website
