"Better Public Transport - No Road Tunnels." In addition to opposing Sir Rod Eddington's mega road tunnels, PPL are campaigning to "Bring Back The Connies" (Tram Conductors) and so improve public transport. They are showing short films from two up-and-coming Film Directors.
They say: "Come and meet a real live tram conductor and be entertained so you can forget for a short time that our town is shortly to be bulldozed by the State Government in its zeal to construct road tunnels, flyover intersections and giant vent stacks".
They want to hear from member groups about their latest campaigns.
The meeting is open to the public not just their members. They welcome everyone with a genuine interest in the subject.
