The group reviews economic issues and formulates input to Victorian & national economic policy. We also are building capability to comment on current economic issues and add an economic ‘voice’ for the Greens.
Beginning 2008, each month we have a guest speaker on a particular element of sustainable economics. These have been well received by those attending.
For May, our Guest Speaker is Bill Cole on International Trade and Transnational Corporate Capitalism.
Bill joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2004 to head the Customs practice with the Indirect Taxes group in Melbourne. He has 24 years’ experience in international trade and customs administration and has worked in government, industry and tertiary education sectors, as well as having particular expertise in the automotive industry.
