Speakers representing Licensees (Vernon Chalker, spokesperson from the ALLM, on the need for proper consultation with licensees), consumers (MelbourneLockedOut on Melbourne’s night-time culture), Drug and Alcohol organisations (Peter Wearne, Director of YSAS North West, on best harm minimisation practice) and the role of Local Government (Adam Bandt on Council-driven policy) will all offer their thoughts on the effectiveness of the “2am Lockout” and visions of alternative solutions, followed by an extensive question and answer session.
