Daniel Marti, Northern Metropolitan Region

Greens Upper House Candidate for the Northern Metropolitan Region in the 2006 Victorian Election

Daniel-Marti.jpgDaniel Marti has a passion for social justice issues and a desire to see healthy relationships between the community, government and businesses.

Daniel is no stranger to the business environment and its interdependence with the government and community. He has worked for an investment bank and commercial bank in Australia, and has completed a Masters of Business Administration at INSEAD in France. Six years ago he took a two year break from his finance career to study philosophy and theology, and is now continuing those studies part-time.

Daniel will work for honest government that operates for the welfare of all and that implements fair and sustainable economic policies.

Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, an MBA, a Graduate Diploma in Philosophy, a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) and is studying towards a Masters in Theology.

Daniel lives in Coburg with his wife and 17 month old son. He continues to work in the finance sector on a part-time basis while caring for his son and being the Treasurer for the Victorian Greens.

The Northern Metropolitan Region covers an area from the Melbourne CBD and Richmond in the south to Humevale, Whittlesea and Yea Yean in the north, and from Christmas Hills and Smiths Gully in the east to Broadmeadows and Somerton in the west.
