Hoa Pham, Northern Metropolitan Region

Greens Upper House Candidate for the Northern Metropolitan Region in the 2006 Victorian Election

Hoa-Pham.jpgHoa Pham is an author and psychologist living in North Melbourne.

Hoa is passionate about women's issues and equity issues and has worked at the University of Melbourne Disability Liaison Unit and various student associations. She has just completed a research project on mental health issues for the University of Melbourne.

Hoa is also the President of Australian Vietnamese Youth Media, a community theatre group, and is part of the Voicebox, a young Vietnamese Women's program broadcast on 3CR. Her other volunteer community experience includes working at the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and the Women's Information Referral Exchange (WIRE).

Hoa loves literature and is currently undertaking a PhD in creative writing at the University of Melbourne.

The Northern Metropolitan Region covers an area from the Melbourne CBD and Richmond in the south to Humevale, Whittlesea and Yea Yean in the north, and from Christmas Hills and Smiths Gully in the east to Broadmeadows and Somerton in the west.
